Site5 Reviewed

Posted in Reviews at 12:11 am by Jim Sutton on Apr. 5, 2006

“Site5 is no longer a web host …At least not in the web hosting industry’s implicit definition of what a web host should be,” writes Kevin Hazard, Site5’s Director of Customer Service and hosting evangelist extreme. So what is Site5 then? Read on as we try to answer this age-old question …

Site5 was a relative unknown until a couple years ago when they repositioned themselves as the web host for a new generation of web developers and designers (if you don’t fall into this category you should probably look elsewhere). In fact at that price point you would be hard pressed to find more storage space or bandwidth anywhere else (check our top 8 hosts). (more …)

Review - (mt) Media Temple Web Hosting

Posted in Reviews at 12:42 am by Jim Sutton on Sep. 20, 2005

Media Temple’s product line is minimal, with just two shared hosting plans on display. We opted to review their advertised $7.95 per month (actually $12.95 per month unless you pay for 2 years up front) (ss) Professional package, which includes 2GB of storage space, 30GB of rollover bandwidth and the ability to host up to 5 websites. Yahoo! is arguably the biggest player in the web hosting industry with millions upon millions of websites hosted. We reviewed the Standard Hosting plan, which includes 75GB data transfer, 4GB disk space, and 50 POP accounts for $19.95 a month. (more …)
