There are a lot of good things to say about myhosting, but they lack something very important: customer support.

When a problem happens, and it will, you will pull your hair out trying to get in contact with their support. Support by email can take days to get answered, for emergencies. There is no support, whatsoever, by phone. They are unwilling to change their phone policy, no matter what the emergency.

Myhosting is known to change settings globally, rendering certain sites unusable. A website not working, is an emergency. If this happens, it may take up to a week to resolve.

Myhosting also created files in one of my customer's accounts. he was then charged $300 for overage fees, on files he didnt even know existed. Myhosting would not admit fault, even though I tracked the problem down to their software and was able to replicate it. They instead offered to take off 50% of $300.

Positives: Many
Negatives: They are crooks, and they lack any customer support.

If customer support is not a concern to you, then there are plenty of cheaper hosting solutions that will give you less grief.

I've used myhosting.com for many years, and recommended them to many others. Their current senseless spam actions will see me out. Their stated spam policy is a lie, and doesn't say that they will bounce mail that they believe to be spam without telling you. I've had bona fide business emails bounced, without recourse. Not to mention mail from friends, Forbes newsletters, Yahoo groups, and so on.

Emails to support produce canned responses, in which they again lie, by stating that the RBL providers are bouncing the emails ... when it is myhosting.com that decides to use those data.

Does not support a lot of PHP functions.
Has restricted Frontpage extensions (you cannot even use submit forms!!)
Has a "crazy" snati spam system, that filters everything even the normal email.

WHAT you pay is what you get.
for 4.95 for a basic linux hosting you GET NOTHING!
